USF's General Education
Proposal Information
Anyone wishing to propose a course for the USF General Education should do so via the (you can login with your NetID and password). You are strongly encouraged to visit the Curriculog Tutorial site for information on how to use the system.
All courses wishing certify as general education for Fall 2026 will go through a legislative pre-review and then a full faculty review. For the pre-review, the following information will be requested in the proposal:
- Course title
- Course description
- Student Learning Outcomes
- Course textbook and/or readings
- Course requisites (if applicable)
- Desired general education discipline
- Copy of course syllabus
Once a course passes the pre-review then it is routed back to the proposer so they
can add the USF General Education components. For that part of the proposal, the following
information will be required:
- Choose two of the critical skill domains to add to the course (Critical/Analytical
Thinking,
Communication, Problem Solving
