General Information

What types of summer camps does the USF Office of Youth Experiences offer?

The USF Office of Youth Experiences offer a variety of summer camps in collaboration with USF Colleges, Departments, and Offices. Our camps cover a wide range of subjects, including STEM, arts, sports, college readiness, and specialized areas such as mock trial and esports. These partnerships ensure that our camps are led by experts in their respective fields, providing campers with high-quality, engaging experiences.

Where are your summer camps held?

Camps are hosted at various USF campuses, including Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Sarasota-Manatee. Additionally, we offer the , which takes place at the historic Tampa Theatre.

When do summer camps take place?

Our camps typically run during the summer months, starting in June through August. Specific camp dates are listed on the camp page.

Camp Details

What is the camper-to-staff ratio?

We maintain a low camper-to-staff ratio to ensure personalized attention and supervision. For most camps, the ratio is 10:1.

Are your staff members trained?

Yes, all of our staff members undergo comprehensive training, including background checks. Since our office partners with various USF Colleges, Departments, and Offices, the individuals who run these camps are experts in their respective fields. In addition, our counselors, many of whom are certified teachers with extensive K-12 experience, may also include graduate assistants who provide valuable support to ensure a high-quality, engaging camp experience for all participants.

Is lunch provided at camp?

Lunch is NOT provided at our camps unless specifically stated. Parents/guardians are responsible for providing lunch for their child each day of camp. The exception to this is for campers participating in our Rocky's Residents Residential Program, where all meals are included.

What should my child bring to camp?

A detailed list of required items will be provided before camp begins.
