As part of the first-ever cohort of USF鈥檚 Master of Science in Data Intelligence program, Srinivas Baireddy says he took a leap of faith when choosing a brand-new program over a more traditional computer science degrees. Now, as he prepares to graduate in May, he reflects on how the program equipped him with the technical expertise and industry-level skills needed for a career in AI and data analytics.
Shifting from engineering to data intelligence
Baireddy began his career with a bachelor鈥檚 degree in mechanical engineering. After a few years of working as an automation test engineer, he realized he wanted more of a challenge.
鈥淚 wanted a more fulfilling career beyond routine tasks,鈥� he said.
To open the door to new opportunities, he applied to several universities for graduate programs in computer science, including USF鈥檚 Master of Science
